Sanford Walk starts where The East London line splits into two branches - one going down to New Cross and the other to New Cross Gate. It belongs to Sanford Housing Co-op and is relatively isolated from the rest of the neibourhood in a sense that there is no walk-through area. The street is a very green environment. On it there is an organic vegetable garden, a system of ponds built by the memebrs of the co-op a number of years ago, tall trees, bushes, grass etc. It can be seen directly from the tube if one is on the train from Surrey Quays to either of the two stations.
