Requirements
Sanford is a Housing Co-operative. Therefore, all the tenants, as members of the co-op, are collectively landlords and, thus, responsible for carrying out the landlord's functions. It's important that all applicants understand that they will be expected to work for the Co-op.
Sanford actively seeks applicants from all sectors of the community regardless of gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation or health status who are:
- Over the age of 18
- Who wish to live in a Co-operative environment
Unfortunately, Sanford isn't suitable for:
- Deaf/hard of hearing or visually impaired people (there's no provision for wheelchairs and it cannot offer support in its conventional sense)
- Applicants with dependant children or who wish to live as a couple (Sanford is a single persons' co-op)
- Applicants with dogs, crocodiles, vultures (Sanford's cats' community is growing and pressing for its rights)
Apart from these restrictions there isn't anything else that should keep a person from applying to live in Sanford.
